Where we mount TVs in HRM
All of Halifax Regional Municipality, no travel fee. Here is what we usually find behind the walls in each part of it.
Halifax Peninsula
Downtown, South End, North End, West End, Hydrostone, Quinpool. Older houses with plaster and lath, some brick and stone in the West End and Westmount, and a growing number of concrete condos downtown and on the waterfront. Plaster adds $20, brick $79, concrete $59. For condos, let us know if the building needs an elevator booking; we bring dust control and use as few holes as the strata allows. Street parking is tight in the South End and on the waterfront, so a visitor spot or a loading zone helps.
Mainland Halifax
Clayton Park, Fairview, Rockingham, Armdale, Spryfield, Herring Cove, Timberlea, Beechville, Tantallon. Mostly drywall over wood studs, standard price. Clayton Park and Rockingham apartments often have concrete walls on one side of the unit; a photo tells us which.
Dartmouth and the Eastern Shore side
Downtown Dartmouth, Woodside, Woodlawn, Portland Hills, Westphal, Cole Harbour, Eastern Passage, Cherry Brook. A mix of older brick and plaster near the ferry terminal and newer drywall subdivisions further out. King's Wharf and other waterfront buildings are concrete.
Bedford, Sackville and the north
Bedford, Larry Uteck, Hammonds Plains, Kingswood, Lower Sackville, Middle Sackville, Fall River, Waverley, Windsor Junction. Newer builds, drywall over wood studs, and the highest share of gas fireplaces in HRM. Above-fireplace mounts are routine here: heat check first, tilt mount recommended, $69 add-on.
Outside HRM
Chester, Windsor, Elmsdale, Truro and the South Shore: text us the address. We usually make it work for a small travel fee, quoted up front, and we try to group trips so the fee stays low.
