What walls are common in Timberlea homes?

Split-entries and two-storeys, 1970s to 2000s. Drywall over wood studs at 16 inches on the main floor, the standard $99 to $179 job in 45 to 60 minutes. The living room in a split-entry is small and the TV often sits across from a picture window, so we talk about height and glare before drilling. Cables drop behind the furniture in a paintable channel for $49 or inside the wall for $119; the hide TV wires in Halifax guide shows what fits.

Brunello and the newer builds. Open plans, nine-foot ceilings and a TV wall with no outlet near it. Inside the wall with a recessed power kit, $219, gives the TV its own outlet with no electrician and nothing on the wall; it is the usual choice here. Townhouse party walls can be metal studs, which take snap toggles, +$59, see metal studs.

Basements and rec rooms. The second TV in Timberlea is usually downstairs, on drywall over strapping against a poured concrete wall. We find what is solid with a pilot hole and use anchors rated for it; bare concrete is +$59 and the wires go in a channel, see concrete walls. Second TV on the same visit, 15% off.

How soon can you come to Timberlea?

Same day most days when you book before noon, evenings until 10pm, every day of the week. Timberlea is 15 to 20 minutes from our base in Hammonds Plains, down the Hammonds Plains Road or along the 103, so it fits easily between other jobs. Drywall takes 45 to 60 minutes; in-wall wiring or concrete 1.5 to 2 hours. 2-hour arrival window, a text when we are on the way, and $20 off if we miss the window.

Do you charge a travel fee to Timberlea?

No. Timberlea, Beechville, Lakeside and Brunello are inside Halifax Regional Municipality and get the same flat price as downtown Halifax with no travel charge. Also serving Hammonds Plains and Clayton Park on either side. Text or WhatsApp the address to 782-446-6322 if you want to be sure.

Questions from Timberlea customers

The TV wall in my Brunello house has no outlet. What are the options?

Three. A paintable channel from the TV down to the nearest outlet, $49. Low-voltage cables inside the wall through two plates, $119, with the power cord still visible. Or in-wall cables plus a recessed power kit, $219, so the TV plugs in behind itself and nothing shows, no electrician needed.

Can you mount a TV in a Timberlea townhouse on the shared wall?

Yes. Party walls are often metal studs or double-framed; we check with a pilot hole and use snap toggles rated for the TV when the studs are steel, +$59. On wood studs it is the standard price.

Do you bring a mount if mine does not fit?

Yes. We carry fixed ($59), tilt ($79) and full-motion ($119) mounts rated by TV size, so if the one you bought does not match the VESA pattern or the weight, we say so at the door and you can use ours, no second trip.

How soon can you come to Lakeside?

Usually the same day if you text before noon, otherwise the next day; we work every day from 9am to 10pm and Lakeside is about 20 minutes from us.
