Brick takes anchors, not screws
We mark the bracket, drill into the body of the brick with a hammer drill and a masonry bit, and set sleeve anchors. Never into the mortar joints, which crumble. The bracket is torqued down, then the TV goes on and gets levelled.
LED backlight
An LED strip runs around the back of the TV for bias lighting. It softens the contrast between a bright screen and a dark room, and on brick it also throws a warm glow across the wall. Its power lead shares the run with the HDMI.
Wires on a solid wall
There is no cavity inside a brick wall to fish cables through, so they run down to the media console in a slim channel. On a dark console and brick it all but disappears.
