What walls are common in Cole Harbour homes?
Split-entries and bungalows, 1970s to 1990s. Drywall over wood studs at 16 inches, the standard $99 to $179 job in 45 to 60 minutes. The living room is usually upstairs with the window wall on one side, so the TV goes on the wall opposite and the cables drop to an outlet behind the furniture: a paintable channel for $49 or inside the wall for $119. Which fits which wall is in the hide TV wires in Halifax guide.
Fireplaces in Forest Hills and Colby Village. Gas inserts and electric fireplaces are common in the family rooms here, often with a brick or tile surround. We check the heat at TV height with an infrared thermometer, then mount on a tilt or full-motion bracket, +$69; brick or stone as the mounting surface adds $79. How we mount a TV above a fireplace in Halifax is on its own page.
Basements. The second TV goes downstairs, where the outside walls are poured concrete or block behind strapping and drywall. We confirm what is behind the drywall with a pilot hole; bare concrete gets sleeve anchors and dust control, +$59, see concrete walls. The second TV on the same visit is 15% off.
How soon can you come to Cole Harbour?
Same day most days when you book before noon, evenings until 10pm, every day of the week. Cole Harbour is the far side of HRM from our base in Hammonds Plains, 35 to 40 minutes by the 102 and the 111, so we group Cole Harbour, Westphal and Eastern Passage jobs on the same afternoon; if you can give us a half-day window rather than a fixed hour, you usually get the earlier date. A drywall job takes 45 to 60 minutes; fireplace, concrete or in-wall wiring 1.5 to 2 hours. 2-hour arrival window, a text when we are on the way, and $20 off if we miss the window.
Do you charge a travel fee to Cole Harbour?
No. Cole Harbour, Eastern Passage, Westphal and Lawrencetown are all Halifax Regional Municipality, and the whole municipality is one flat price with no travel charge, bridge or no bridge. Also serving Dartmouth next door and Fall River up the 118. Text or WhatsApp the address to 782-446-6322 if you want it confirmed.

Questions from Cole Harbour customers
Can you mount above the brick fireplace in my Forest Hills family room?
Yes. The heat check comes first; if the wall at TV height stays within range with the fire on, we set sleeve anchors into the brick body, never the mortar, and hang the TV on a tilt mount so you can angle it down toward the sofa. Brick adds $79 and the fireplace position $69.
My basement wall is concrete. Can the TV go there?
Yes, +$59 for the anchors and the dust control. Wires run in a paintable channel for $49 because a concrete wall has no cavity to hide them in. If there is drywall on strapping over the concrete, we find what is solid behind it with a pilot hole and use anchors rated for it.
Do you come to Eastern Passage and Cow Bay?
Yes, same price, no travel fee. They are usually on the same run as Cole Harbour, so an afternoon slot is the easiest to get.
Can you take down my old TV and mount first?
Yes. Taking down an old TV or mount is $39, and removing an old mount, then patching and priming the holes, is $49. We take the packaging with us.
